Salida growth will affect all of us

I’m not the type to speak publicly on issues, but a lot of the commentary that I keep reading about the Salida Now initiative is really beginning to bother me. I’m not a resident of Salida, but this is not a Salida-only issue; it applies to all of Stanislaus County.

I don’t have to live in Salida to know that I would like to bring more jobs to our “backyard.” With more than 27,000 new jobs estimated, many residents who currently commute outside of the area, would get the opportunity to find one there. And many of the people who do still have/choose to commute, will have an easier way to do so with the traffic relief plans. We need to give more options and reasons to stay in this area. Yes to Salida Now!
